Jeff Hoagland

Jeff Hoagland is a graduate student of film at The City College of New York. His Thesis documentary film, “Crimson Koiquizen”, is about a taxidermist who makes costumes for people who dress like animals. Jeff does not dress like an animal.
Mr. Hoagland works freelance for NBC Sports, ESPN, Winner Comm Television, and the CW Channel.
Janis Vogel

Janis Vogel graduated Cum Laude in Cinema Media Studies and International Relations from Wellesley College. The completion of her short film “Drop” will earn her an M.F.A. at The City College of New
York. FALLING TO HEAVEN, which she edited, was recently screened at Sundance. She was the Director of Photography on Erin Harper’s PASSION and Erin Greenwell’s OVERNIGHT BOOK. Janis Vogel has worked with documentary filmmakers Danny Schechter and Marc Simon and she was a Story Developer for producer, Julie Richardson.
Emmanuel Alexandre

Emmanuel immigrated with his family to New York City from Port-au-Prince, Hati at the age of 14. After graduating from Hunter College with a Bachelors degree in Media Studies, he decided to follow his dream for filmmaking and began traveling through South America, particularly in Brazil, to experiment with the art form. In 2004 he returned to the United States and enrolled as a Cameraman/Producer for WNYE/PBS television show. In 2006 he was accepted into the MFA at City College and was fortunate to be awarded the Bert Saperstein Grant to Direct his first documentary film, Welcome to Batey 6.

In a parallel universe, Ning is an engineer and an architect. He also likes movies.
Andrew Kriss

Born and raised in New York, Andrew was drawn to the power of story telling from a young age. After completing his degree in finance from Fordham University, Andrew decided to attend the MFA program at City College of New York.
Andrew’s work spans from photographer to writer, director, and producer. Some of his recent credits include: “The Bronx Balletomane” (Producer), “Deserts of Love” (Producer), and the groundbreaking TV series “American Gypsies” (Creator and Producer).
Dimon Gapon
Co-Producer, Editor
Save Coney Island’s editor and co-producer. Dimon Gapon single handedly developed and produced a regional Ukrainian television company all before the age of thirty. Dimon is receiving his MFA at the City College of New York and is proficient in all aspects of the filmmaking process. He is currently in development with a reality series about New York City Gypsies.
Peter LiPera

Peter LiPera is proud of his nickname “Curly Pete” given to him by the local Coney Island community. If there is one thing that Peter has learned from years of documenting the legendary amusement park, it’s that he loves Coney Island.
